The indication by labelling and standard product information of the consumption of energy and other resources by energy-related products

The energy-labelling directive provides a framework for the harmonisation of national measures on end-user information for energy-related products (ERP) that have an impact on energy consumption during use. This harmonisation will provide ‘accurate, relevant and comparable information’ on product energy consumption, aimed at influencing the purchasing decisions of end users (favour those products with lower consumption therefore operating cost).
